A little late, but Happy Easter!!
Today I spent a very nice day hanging around the apartment with Lucy. We slept in late, lounged and lazed around, did some cooking, and had a nice dinner with friends.
A few of my friends and I decided to do Easter dinner at my place. Although a more traditional ham would have been preferred, ham here was $40 EC a slice and we would have needed at least two slices - that's much too expensive! We decided to make my friend's famous hamburger recipe instead with side dishes and dessert. The original plan was to use the grill we have out back, but that ended up seeming a little more complicated than it was worth in the end so we opted for the stove and they came out just as yummy. We had potatoes au gratain in the crockpot (yummy!!!) and a cabbage/ramen noodle/almond salad for sides, lemonaide, tea and mountain dew for drinks, and cherry cheesecake and a danish-like bread for dessert. We did a pretty excellent job. Lucy got to play with a few of her doggy friends - lots of fun for her! After dinner, we went outside to admire our waterless pool and take pretend pictures. I just love having a perfectly finished pool with no water in it haha. Hopefully that water will go in soon!
