The tide was quite high when we arrived. The water was bathtub warm - perfect for just walking right in and submerging! The water close to shore had a lot of plant debris in it and was kind of cloudy so I was initially worried that it was going to be crummy for picture taking, but I turned out to be very wrong!
There was a weird mixing of warm and cold(er) water happening until we reached the reef. The strangest part was that the water a couple feet down was warmer! Usually it's the other way around because the sun beats down on the top bit all ay long. You could physically see the "line" between the two zones which was pretty cool.
The reef was exceptionally beautiful. So many fish and invertebrates! We were out around sunset time, which seems to be dinner time for all the critters. Check them out!
